After a final day defeat, finishing fifth in 2025-2026 Serie A season and failing to secure qualification for the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League, Milan announced a reorganisation of its football operations, leading to the departures of head coach Massimiliano Allegri, CEO Giorgio Furlani, Sporting Director Igli Tare and Technical Director Geoffrey Moncada. Ruben Amorim succeeded Allegri as head coach on 16 June 2026.
