On 30 May 2022, Diego Aguirre was named head coach. He led the club to a win in the 2022 Supercopa de la Liga MX, defeating Atlas on penalties after a 2–2 draw. However, Aguirre was dismissed on 21 August after a 7–0 loss to América, one of the club's worst defeats. 

Raúl Gutiérrez succeeded him but was let go on 13 February 2023 after a poor run of results. Ricardo Ferretti was then appointed on 22 February, but was also dismissed on 7 August. Joaquín Moreno was named interimand later confirmed as head coach for the remainder of the Apertura 2023 tournament. After a 16th-place finish, Moreno stepped down in 19 Decemberand was appointed director of the club's reserves and academy system.
