This is Adidas' superior 'player issue' version of the jersey, as worn by the players. It features an EU size printed inside the collar, a slim fitting design, Nylon shoulder stripes, ventilated panels on the sleeves, and a Formotion motif near the lower front hem.

Spain qualified top of Group I in qualification for UEFA Euro 2012 with a perfect 100% record. They became the first team to retain the European championship, winning the final 4–0 against Italy. However, two years later, they were eliminated from the group stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
