In the 2001/2002 season, with Héctor Cúper, Inter Milan came near to Scudetto: like 1997-98 season, it was the closest chance since 1989. The squad was built with the purchases of Francesco Toldo, Marco Materazzi and Mohamed Kallon in add to Javier Zanetti, Luigi Di Biagio and Christian Vieri.
