Official Umbro Republic of Ireland home football shirt from the 2000/01 season.

This is the later version of this season's jersey that featured Ireland's new sponsor 'Eircom'.

The condition of this original football jersey is 8/10 - Excellent. Light bobbling. A few tiny light dot marks on the collar. A few small marks near the lower front hem (see photos).

Ireland's opponents in UEFA Euro 2000 qualifying Group 8 were Yugoslavia, Croatia, Malta and Macedonia. Macedonia scored a last-minute equaliser that denied Ireland top spot in the group; instead, they faced Turkey in a play-off to decide which team would participate in Euro 2000.

The match in Dublin finished in a 1–1 draw, although Turkey qualified through the away goals rule after a 0–0 draw, at the end of which Tony Cascarino became involved in a fight and retired from international football.
