Although this jersey is essentially the same design template as the club wore in 1994, this 1995 edition features an updated number design on the back.

In 1994, the club reached the final of the Copa Libertadores for the third year in a row, and faced Argentina's Velez Sarsfield. On this occasion they lost a penalty shoot-out to the Argentine side at the Morumbi stadium. But by the end of this year, São Paulo won the Copa CONMEBOL, defeating Peñarol of Uruguay in the final.
