Leaving Flamengo in 1992 after six years of house Zinho was playing for Palmeiras, where he was to become the master of wonderful Palmeiras team, São Paulo and Brazilian twice champion in 1993 and 1994 still had Roberto Carlos, César Sampaio , Rivaldo, Edmundo, Edilson and Evair.
World Cup 1994 Zinho was absolute owner in midfield Brazil's Carlos Alberto Parreira. However, thanks to help mark, it was prevented from advancing to the attack, so that his football did not reach the level of his performances for Palmeiras.
