Official Nike Portugal away long sleeve football shirt from the 1997/98 international season. Complete with #10 on the front & back of the shirt in official numbering.

This is Nike's 'player issue' version of the jersey, as worn by the players. It does not feature a size patch near the lower hem. The long sleeve version was not commercially available.

Condition of this vintage football jersey is 8/10 - Excellent. Light wear to the rear #10 (see photos).

At the UEFA Euro 1996, Portugal finished first in Group D, and in the quarter-finals, they lost 1–0 to the Czech Republic. This team was known as the Golden generation, a group of youngsters who had won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 1989 and 1991 and were now leading the national senior squad; they also reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2000 but were eliminated at the group stages of the 2002 FIFA World Cup despite high reputations.
