Bamford ended the season with 17 league goals, his highest career goal return since scoring 17 goals with Middlesbrough during the 2014-15 season in the Championship, and the first player to score as many goals for a newly promoted side since Charlie Austin scored 18 goals for QPR in the 2014-15 season.
