This is Adidas' superior TECHFIT version of the jersey, as worn by the players. It features a tight fitting design, an upgraded material mix, nylon manufacturer logo on the chest & shoulder stripes on the sleeves, rubber anti-slip technology around the lower hem, 'TECHFIT' motif near the lower hem.

Liverpool had mixed fortunes during the season; they enjoyed success in the domestic cups, winning the League Cup for a record eighth time – also their first trophy since 2006 – and reached the FA Cup Final, where they lost to Chelsea.
