Official Fox Leisure Leicester City home football shirt from the 1997/98 season. Complete with Guppy #24 on the back of the shirt in official flock Lextra lettering, and original Premier League patches on the sleeves.

Although this jersey is essentially the same design template as the club wore in the previous 96/97 season, this season saw the introduction of standardised Premier League lettering for the rear name & numbers.

Condition of this vintage football jersey is 8/10 - Excellent. Some light marks and a faded signature (Steve Guppy's) on the rear #24.  (see photos).

In February 1997 he was tracked down by his former boss Martin O'Neill, who paid £850,000 to take him to Premier League club Leicester City for the first time. He was cup-tied for their victory in the 1997 Football League Cup Final. It was in his first spell with the Foxes that he was most successful, playing in over 140 matches under O'Neill. He gained League Cup honours with Leicester City in 2000, having also reached the final in the previous season.
