Official Umbro Republic of Ireland home long sleeve football shirt from the 2000/01 international season.

This is the earlier version of this season's jersey that featured Ireland's long term sponsor 'Opel'.

Condition of this original football shirt is 8/10 - Excellent. Light surface wear (see photos).

Material is bright, vivid and smooth. Fantastic looking shirt, ideal for a collector or for framing and a great piece of football memorabilia.

Ireland's opponents in UEFA Euro 2000 qualifying Group 8 were Yugoslavia, Croatia, Malta and Macedonia. Macedonia scored a last-minute equaliser that denied Ireland top spot in the group; instead, they faced Turkey in a play-off to decide which team would participate in Euro 2000.

The match in Dublin finished in a 1–1 draw, although Turkey qualified through the away goals rule after a 0–0 draw, at the end of which Tony Cascarino became involved in a fight and retired from international football.
